This beaver was carved by Frank Raymond Campbell. Beavers signify family, determination and creativity. They can be seen making dams and fishing on Tsawwassen First Nations lands.

Frank Raymond Campbell
Frank was born on August 26, 1979 in La Conner, Washington. He is a Coast Salish artist, ancestral name Wopeeoh and recent ancestral name Ququpule’nuxv received in 2016.
He first moved to Canada in 1990 with his mother who is a member of Tsawwassen First Nation and registered her children as members.
Frank took an interest in drawing on his own in 1995 and enrolled in a Native Art course in 1999 to 2000. There he learned drawing, carving and other types of art which strengthened his interest in the arts. During his training, Frank learned to carve totem poles and house posts.
